Accounting Manager

Fairfax, VA
Cordia Resources is assisting a Fairfax, VA-based client in identifying an Accounting Manager. The team and company culture are collaborative, high energy, and proactive. The company is in the government contracting space and the need for an Accounting Manager is immediate. 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience
  • Costpoint experience of 4+ years is required
  • Active CPA license is strongly preferred
  • US Citizen
Select responsibilities:
  • Assist with monthly close process by preparing journal entries and reconciling assigned balance sheet accounts
  • Assist with preparation of certain parts of the monthly financial statements
  • Assist with preparation of audit schedules
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting
  • Perform payroll related task
  • Manage and develop less experienced accounting staff
  • Coordinate the financial statement audit with auditors
  • Recording financial transactions
  • Recording revenue transactions
  • Preparation of financial statements
  • Preparing cash forecast and models 
  • Filing state sales tax reports
  • Financial projections
  • Budgeting
  • Internal control best practices
  • Define, implement and improve financial and accounting processes
