Cordia has partnered with a government contractor in Stafford, VA - seeking an AP/Payroll accountant to join them contract to hire in a hybrid model.
The Accounts Payable and Payroll Accountant serves as the primary resource for vendor invoice, employee expense reimbursement and payroll processing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintain projected expenditures against budget by receiving, entering and paying invoices according to due dates
Ensure proper payment of invoices by matching invoiced amounts to purchase orders
Receive, verify, enter and pay employee travel expenses in a timely manner and in accordance with the company’s travel and entertainment expense policy and DCAA requirements
Produce the monthly Travel Tracker for Controller and President/CEO
Process credit card payments according to due dates and reconcile against expense submission and receipts
Prepare and provide monthly cash flow reports to Controller and CFO
Contribute to month-end closing by ensuring all vendor invoices are entered and paid
Process accurate and timely payroll and payment of benefits
Prepare reports on paid time off accruals and balances
Serve as backup for employee data changes into payroll/HR system
Audit petty cash fund
Ensure timely collection of mail from reception area
