Our client is a convention planning,  media, continuing education and printing company headquartered in Landover, Maryland. Family owned and operated for 40 years, you’ll be part of a winning team and have an exciting position that is central to what the organization does.

Meeting and Events Coordinator Duties:
Proactively respond to phone inquiries, voicemail and email correspondence with delegates; managing event specific email inboxes and addressing concerns related to registration processes
Support on-site registration services, printing of badges, and supporting Convention Event Managers in various event-related tasks
Generate and prepare registration and housing reports
Produce regular hotel pickup reports for all contracted hotels when needed
Keep track of all deadlines associated with dropping rooms, adjusting pattern, assigning upgrades, and submitting any needed updates to hotel or to update software
Auditing hotel rooming list vs. event attendee registration
Complete host event reporting of final pick-up report, room revenue, catering revenue and other relevant information
Lead the build, testing, and launch of event registration and housing websites and mobile apps; utilizing our licensed software (Aventri/Passkey/Cvent) and similar platforms
Manage hotel room block including but not limited to; entering critical data for the terms, blocks and sub-blocks into housing system, make recommendations for adjustments to pattern and need to alter block or drop rooms based on current pickup trends.
Assist with the design and dispatch email campaigns through the registration software

Education and Experience:
Minimum of Associates Degree preferred or 3+ years’ work experience, preferably in the hospitality industry
Knowledge of Aventri and/or Passkey desired, not required
