Senior Accountant SUMMARY An exciting opportunity to join an established and growing real estate company! The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining all accounting responsibilities for a portfolio of properties, including:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for all aspects of cash flow and management including bank reconciliations, payments, general ledger analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation
Preparation and analysis of monthly financial reports
Initiate monthly payments for debt service, and owner distributions
Calculation of monthly management fees and other fees
Responsible for timely payment of real estate tax and insurance
Evaluate and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with team members, as needed
Ensure adherence to policies and procedures and maintain effective internal controls
Identify and implement process improvement
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited college or university
2 years’ prior accounting experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems
Strong analytical and reasoning skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and relate effectively, productively, and positively with a diverse range of people
A high level of responsibility and organization
Knowledge of or enthusiasm to learn property management accounting processes, including industry-specific software, is preferred
