Our client is a rapidly growing Private Equity company based in Chevy Chase, MD area seeking a Senior Accountant. The company has recently closed on a second fund at $1B+, after a massively success first fund around $500M+. The company is planning to triple in the next two years - exceptional personal and corporate growth! They are in their beautiful office three (3) days a week. Compensation will be around $90-100k plus a 10-15% bonus.

Responsibilities
- Month-end close activities to ensure all financial activity is recorded in the GL accurately and timely, including eliminations and consolidations
- Perform monthly financial reporting and analysis, and prepare consolidated financial reports in accordance with GAAP
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare plant financial statements for Milepost Power Holdings, LLC
- Prepare audited consolidated financial reports on an annual basis
- Lead the year-end audit for specified entities
- Build and maintain proper accounting policies
- Support management reporting, including
- Perform variance analysis monthly, comparing financial results to budget and YOY (by month, quarter and YTD)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; CPA preferred
- 3-5 years of operational accounting and/or public accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of Excel
- Familiarity with all financial functions - planning, treasury, A/R, A/P, financial and cost accounting
- Proficiency in accounting software preferred (Intacct preferred)
