Vienna, VAAn outsourced accounting and financial technology practice, located in Vienna, is seeking an Senior Manager level candidate for their Nonprofit Division. This role is a GL focused, working with multiple clients and internal team personnel and client facing which requires excellent communication skills.
Ideal candidate is someone who can work at a high accounting level directly with client CEO’s, COO’s and CFO’s, and the company’s Principals and Partners. Compensation range is between $150k - $165k. This person needs to be strategic and lead others and must have 10+ years NFP experience.
The ideal candidate will provide leadership and oversight to a team responsible for all day-to-day accounting activities. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate completion of all corporate accounting functions, including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.

Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing an outsourced accounting team of 3-4 people
- Responsible for participation in management and personnel matters including mentoring
- Responsible for month end closing processes including approval of journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting account analysis.
- Produces timely and accurate financial statements, compliant with generally accepted accounting principles, meeting corporate reporting requirements.
- Participates in or directs the development of accounting policy and administers approved internal controls, accounting procedures and workflows.
- Manages operational data and ensuring data integrity/accuracy, developing proper documentation, internal control and troubleshooting procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA license is preferred
- Average of 10 years of Accounting/Finance experience
- Prior experience working with mid-sized nonprofit organizations
- Mixture of public accounting and corporate accounting experience
- Desire to be in fast growth environment and in a high visibility position
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and or Finance
- Proficient operating in accounting systems and with technology overall
