Salesforce Developer

Bethesda, MD
Our client in Bethesda, MD, is seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented Salesforce Developer who will focus on designing and building custom applications on the Salesforce platform and integrating those applications with other software applications.  The Salesforce Developer shall be experienced in utilizing custom coding tools (APEX, Lightning) as necessary.

The successful candidate will work closely with the management team members to ensure deliverables enhance the efficiency and value of applications supporting the business process workflows.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the organization’s management team to define, develop, maintain, and document applications built on the Salesforce platform.
  • Produce solution deliverables such as solution definitions, requirements, effort estimation, testing plans, periodic project progress reports, etc.
  • Incorporate custom coding tools into the technical solution as necessary.
  • Performs special reviews/projects as directed.

Qualifications
  • Five or more years of application development experience utilizing the Salesforce platform.
  • Experience customizing Salesforce applications, developing custom functionality, and integrating Salesforce solutions with other applications.
  • Experience with Salesforce custom coding tools (Apex, Lightning)
  • Possess two or more Salesforce Developer Certifications (Platform Developer, B2C Commerce Developer, Certified Administrator, JavaScript Developer, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience with programming languages such as Apex, Java, JavaScript, or .NET as well as experience with web technologies such as HTML or CSS.
  • Experience with Salesforce APIs, including REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Deep understanding of database concepts, Salesforce architecture, and the integration of Salesforce with other systems.
  • Experience with Agile software development
  • Experience with Government Contracting - Preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Work authorization (Required)
  • Able to obtain US Security Clearance (Required)
  • Active US Security Clearance (Preferred)
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in planning and prioritizing tasks and assignments.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task complex and time-critical activities simultaneously.
