An exciting opportunity to join an established nuclear power supplier in their corporate headquarters’ accounting department! This role reports directly to the Director, Tax while the two work together on all company tax-related tasks. The Tax Manager assumes responsibility for the quarterly income tax provision and preparation of the company's consolidated federal and state income tax returns, in addition to:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare ASC740 quarterly income tax provision calculations including permanent and temporary difference tax adjustments, maintain deferred tax asset and liability schedules, prepare tax disclosures and footnotes for quarterly and annual reports (Form 10Q and 10K), respond to questions from external tax audit team for quarterly and annual income tax provisions, and prepare tax entries and quarterly tax account reconciliations
File consolidated federal and state income tax returns including all related workpapers and prepare personal property and franchise tax returns; calculate quarterly estimated federal and state income tax payments
Review monthly sales tax determinations and calculations
Collaborate with accounting fixed asset personnel to update fixed assets for Oracle Fusion Cloud tax books monthly
Maintain and execute tax SOX controls, prepare process updates as needed for key tax controls and processes, identify tax savings and system improvement opportunities
Work closely with accounting and FP&A colleagues and others to gather data for tax filings and forecast cash taxes and tax accruals
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Minimum of ten years of income tax experience in a public accounting firm or public company, with direct experience meeting closing and reporting deadlines
Strong working knowledge of ASC740; experience providing required tax input for SEC filings
Prior experience with SOX controls and preparing process documentation
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, financial software, tax applications; demonstrated ability to learn more
