Cordia Resources is supporting growing teams in search of talented Financial (FP&A) Analysts. The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the Financial Planning and Analysis team by analyzing monthly variances in financial statements between budgets and actuals, building and reviewing large excel data spreadsheets, creating and distributing monthly expense reports, and supporting colleagues in the Finance department and throughout the organization with ad hoc data/financial analyses as requested. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years prior experience in either finance (preferred) or accounting, with the desire and ability to learn more.

Responsibilities:

  • Support full lifecycle financial functions including planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Run monthly financial reports and other ad hoc report requests, verifying accuracy and consistency of reports before releasing
  • Create and modify financial and management reports to reflect business, organizational and staff changes
  • Meet with budget owners, as appropriate, to diagnose areas of variance to their budget and help assist with any needed corrections, and support all aspects of the budget cycle
  • Create, maintain and distribute robust excel spreadsheets and pivot table files used for data inputs and data delivery
  • Support the mid-year forecasting/annual budgeting process for assigned departments including compilation and upload of annual budgets into ERP system and processing of periodic re-class requests and budget transfers
  • Enables global strategic initiatives and business operations with analyses and business cases
  • Special projects as assigned, serving as backup to other department functions as needed
 Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business discipline (Finance, Economics, Accounting) or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience
  • The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in the preparation of annual budgets, monthly forecasts, business cases, financial/data analyses and financial statements analysis
  • Ability to develop, evaluate and communicate reasonable explanations for budget vs. actual variances
  • Strong working knowledge with Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs; minimum proficiency with PowerPoint graphs and formatting
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to interact with wide range of people across multiple levels of our and our clients organization
  • Organized with the ability to document financial processes and procedures in a logical manner
  • Ability to multi-task to meet deadlines, with strong attention to detail and the ability to reprioritize as needed
