Cordia is partnered with a $100M construction company who is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk to join their team on a 4-6 month contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support in the accounts payable department and will be able to work in a hybrid environment in their office located in Reston, VA.

Job Title: AP Clerk
Location: Hybrid - Reston, VA
Hourly Rate: $22.50-$25.00/hour
Job Type: 4-6 Month Contract
 

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable transactions in a timely and accurate manner
• Review invoices, purchase orders, and other documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Prepare and process payments to vendors, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
• Maintain accurate and organized records of invoices and payments
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve any issues or inquiries
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with accounting software (such as QuickBooks) is a plus

This is a contract position, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs. The position is hybrid, which means you will be working both in the office and remotely. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
