In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial operations of the company during a period of transition. You will work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, maintain internal controls, and manage the day-to-day accounting activities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the company's accounting and financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, including monthly and quarterly financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Manage the annual audit process and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Provide financial guidance to senior management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Manage and develop the accounting team to ensure a high level of performance and productivity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and increase efficiency in the financial operations of the company
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred
- 10+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including GAAP and SOX
- Experience managing accounting and financial operations in a complex, global organization
- Proven ability to develop and maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to senior leadership and other stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop solutions in a timely manner
- Experience managing and developing a high-performing accounting team
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
