Our client is seeking a Controller for a direct hire/ full-time opportunity currently operating in a 100% remote capacity. The Controller will be a strategic partner to the executive leadership team and has overall responsibility for the finances and financial strategy of a newly established portfolio company. The Controller will oversee all related financial activities, prepare financial reports and summaries, and create forecasts predicting future growth. The ideal candidate will bring a CPA, public accounting foundation and 10+ years of accounting/finance expertise within the retail and/or hospitality industry. - Transition financial information from seller’s management company and establish financial records for the new portfolio company.
- Implement accounting system in partnership with technology consultants.
- Responsible for cash flow management, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Manage audit and tax matters through interfacing with outside auditors and tax consultants.
- Assist with due diligence for future acquisitions and integrate new assets onto portfolio company’s platform.
- Hire support staff and continue to build the finance team as company expands.
- Establish and maintain relationships with financial institutions and investors.
