  • Requirement: 3 days on-site (either Tysons or Leesburg office)

Role Overview:

Both Senior Staff Tax Accountants and Tax Managers will find themselves immersed in a diverse client base spanning multiple industries. You will be entrusted with preparing and reviewing financial information, maintaining client relationships, imparting knowledge to staff, and assisting in firm management.
 

Duties & Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Preparation, management, and review of tax returns for individuals, estates, trusts, corporations, and partnerships.
  • Engaging in special tax and advisory projects, such as tax audits, business transaction structuring, and year-round tax planning.
  • Undertaking advanced tax research to guide clients and firm leaders on intricate tax issues.
  • Overseeing and mentoring junior staff members.
  • Maintaining a client-first approach, ensuring that long-lasting relationships continue to flourish under our firm's values.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (higher degrees and concentrations preferred for Manager role).
  • Relevant experience (1-5 years for Senior Staff Tax Accountant, 5-10 years for Tax Manager).
  • Familiarity with small business accounting programs (QuickBooks, Sage 50, etc.).
  • Experience with the Thomson Reuters suite is preferred.
  • Progressing towards necessary certifications (CPA, EA) for Senior role; completion of CPA licensing for Manager role.
