Controller-Government Contracting 16284573

Cordia Resources is seeking a Controller for our government contracting client.  The Controller will play a pivotal role overseeing all financial activities related to government contracts. The ideal candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of government contracting regulations, a strong grasp of Costpoint software, and a background in program control analysis to ensure compliance and financial success.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the financial management of government contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee contract administration, including contract setup, modification tracking, and compliance monitoring.
  • Manage the financial reporting process for government contracts, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with program managers to provide financial insights and support program control analysis.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Costpoint software and utilize it for financial reporting and analysis.
  • Prepare and submit incurred cost submissions (ICS) and other government-required reports.
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing and invoicing processes for government contracts.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance financial controls and efficiency.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to the finance team.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA a plus).
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a financial leadership role in government contracting.
  • Strong Costpoint software expertise and proficiency.
  • Extensive background in contract administration and compliance.
  • Program control analysis experience is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and DFAR (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation) requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
