Cordia Resources is seeking an Accounting Manager for our non-profit client. As the Accounting Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing and managing the financial activities of the organization. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, managing the day-to-day accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with non-profit financial regulations. Responsibilities:
Oversee all financial functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger accounting.
Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards.
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports on a regular basis.
Collaborate with program managers to assist in budget development, monitoring, and reporting.
Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, working closely with external auditors.
Assist in grant financial reporting and compliance.
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance financial controls and efficiency.
Stay current with changes in nonprofit accounting regulations.
Utilize QuickBooks (experience is a plus) and other financial software for accurate financial management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus).
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory experience.
QuickBooks experience is a plus.
Knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles and regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
