Accounting Manager (Non-profit) 16284631

Cordia Resources is seeking an Accounting Manager for our non-profit client.  As the Accounting Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing and managing the financial activities of the organization. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, managing the day-to-day accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with non-profit financial regulations. Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all financial functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger accounting.
  • Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports on a regular basis.
  • Collaborate with program managers to assist in budget development, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, working closely with external auditors.
  • Assist in grant financial reporting and compliance.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance financial controls and efficiency.
  • Stay current with changes in nonprofit accounting regulations.
  • Utilize QuickBooks (experience is a plus) and other financial software for accurate financial management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus).
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory experience.
  • QuickBooks experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
