Job Title: Accountant

Hourly Rate: $35-$40 per hour

About Us:

Cordia is partnered with a prominent non-profit who is seeking a dynamic and experienced Remote Accountant to join their team on a temporary basis, with the potential for a permanent role based on performance. As a part of our clients lean and fast-paced team, you will play a crucial role in managing various accounting functions, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Customer Service/Salesforce, General Ledger, and Month-end Close. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, a proven ability to work independently, and specific experience with federal grants.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process incoming payments.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
• Process invoices and ensure timely payments.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records.
• Handle customer inquiries related to accounting matters.
• Utilize Salesforce to track and manage customer interactions.
• Maintain a well-organized general ledger.
• Assist in month-end close processes.
• Familiarity with Concur for processing and reconciling expense reports.

Requirements:

• Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Customer Service/Salesforce, General Ledger, and Month-end Close.
• Use of Concur Expense Report System (preferred but not required).
• Experience with Intacct is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience working with federal grants.
• Ability to work independently with minimal training.
• Strong self-motivation and initiative.
