Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a private wealth management company who is looking for a Senior Accountant with an active CPA to join their team in Tysons, VA.

Title: Accountant (CPA)
Location: Hybrid - Tysons, VA
Hourly Rate: Market Rate
Job Type: Contract

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES.
  • Prepare financial reports for the monthly management reporting package.
  • Prepare and review period-end journal entries.
  • Perform General Ledger account reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Work closely with external auditors during the interim and year-end audit.
  • Ensure desktop procedures and process narratives are kept up to date.
  • Manage the relationship with other departments and identify potential accounting issues / events.
  • Work with outside vendors for company-wide rollouts.
  • Complete ad hoc analysis and projects, as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training, and Work Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with 3 plus years of general accounting experience required.
  • CPA required
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from restaurant management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from restaurant management.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, as well as write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to apply, analyze, interpret and record business transactions according to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with excellent attention to detail. Possess analytical skills.
  • Must demonstrate a commitment to the pursuit of quality work.
  • Ability to think independently to solve practical problems and present solutions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Experience with multi-unit operations is helpful.
  • Possess strong knowledge of Excel.
  • Highly proficient personal computer skills and technology driven
  • Ability to network and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Ability to view department as a service organization to other departments & restaurant locations.
  • Highly motivated and self-engaged individual.
