Accounting Manager/Controller

Title: Accounting Manager/Controller - Manufacturing
Compensation: 115K annually 
Work Environment: On Site (4 days per week) near Duluth, GA 

Job Description:

A growing client of ours (Digital Advertising markets) currently seeks a financial and accounting manager/controller to assist in managing the company and its future growth. This firm operates two manufacturing facilities based out of Ohio and Georgia. The position will require some travel between locations (less than 5%) and will be based in Duluth, GA.  We seek someone with a CPA designation, who has 4-6 years of experience in accounting and finance (manufacturing environments and some exposure to Microsoft Business Central are preferred qualifications). 

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform the monthly closing process to ensure timely and accurate reporting of results
  • Prepare periodic financial statements that reflect the status of the business
  • Manage the cash balance of the company by making deposits and preparing payables for management approval
  • Direct A/R, invoicing, collections, payables, payroll, 401(k) and credit card processing activities in full compliance with all requirements
  • Provide accurate reports on status of various business metrics as requested
  • Prepare supporting documents for purposes of producing a tax return for the entity
  • Structure the chart of accounts to allow multiple cost centers to be reported and consolidated
  • Establish relationships with numerous financial institutions with integrity
  • Manage the successful integration of various management systems with Microsoft BC for all financial operations.
  • Manage all direct reports with high standards by preparing detailed job descriptions with clearly defined roles and responsibilities
  • Identify any deficiencies in your area of responsibility and communicate a plan of improvement for management approval
  • Comply with all laws and industry certifications and requirements
  • Provide training to all new and existing staff as needed
  • Communicate potential areas of failure to management in time to prevent negative outcomes.
  • Work to maintain positive customer relationships
  • Represent the company brand as a professional in every way.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited not-for-profit educational institution
  • CPA designation, or on the pathway to designation
  • 4-6 years of manufacturing industry experience
  • Exposure to Microsoft Business Central
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite Products
  • Some exposure to organizational tax return preparation
  • Logical work history
