The company is seeking a Controller to ensure operational accounting excellent and support of continued corporate growth.

Controller Overview:
The Company is seeking a Controller, focused experience with project accounting and ability to manage a mature, independent team. The role will handle the daily accounting functions of the organization including month-end close, revenue recognition, payables, reporting, and more. The position is responsible for contributing to the development and maintenance of financial reporting, SOX compliance, overseeing the preparation of periodic reporting and required filings and ensuring that our accounting policies and procedures are documented and followed.
This role will report to a visionary CFO and has a strong compensation package of $180,000-230,000 salary, plus discretionary bonus.

Detailed Responsibilities:
  • Supports the accounting close processes monthly, quarterly, and annually, following internal control procedures to ensure proper accounting and to protect the company’s assets
  • Perform and support general ledger analytics and variance analysis
  • Assist the Controller with managing the Project Accounting function, including quarterly estimate revisions, to ensure that revenue recognition and other GAAP reporting requirements are followed
  • Participate in planning and coordinating the annual financial audit with external auditors, including assembly of requested data and ensuring staff understands responsibilities relative to supporting the audit
  • Interface with the Company’s parent company regarding monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
  • Assist with compliance testing of SOX controls, and ensure that control expectations are properly communicated and understood
  • Participate in all aspects of tax compliance, including working with external tax preparers to provide accurate and timely tax support workpapers
