The Accounting Manager will oversee the month-end close process, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and maintain audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance: Ensure all financial operations comply with GAAP, non-profit accounting standards, and relevant regulations.
Month-End Close: Oversee and manage the month-end close process, including the preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
Audit Readiness: Prepare for and support internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate provision of required documentation and responses.
Financial Oversight: Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and the board of directors as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA certification is required.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management role. Experience in non-profit accounting is strongly preferred.
Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
