Interim Accounting Manager 16481443

Cordia Resources is seeking an experienced Interim Accounting Manager to work on a temporary basis to support our accounting functions.  The Interim Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing and performing general ledger reconciliations, investment reconciliations, and payroll and benefit reconciliations. This position requires strong Excel skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform and oversee general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Conduct investment reconciliations and monitor investment accounts.
  • Reconcile payroll and benefit accounts to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and organizational policies.
  • Provide support during audits and other financial reviews.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on reconciliations.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis.
  • Experience in non-profit or higher education accounting is highly desirable.
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in non-profit or higher education settings a plus.
