Human Resources Business Partner
The HRBP will act as a business partner to all employee levels with a focus on delivering value-added service and support. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this role will act as a key liaison and advocate of a wide range of HR-related initiatives, programs, and services, with a specific emphasis on talent acquisition, onboarding, and offboarding.

Fluency in French is required.
Essential Duties:
- Provide support and guidance to the employee population in all aspects of human resources functions including benefits, FMLA, ADA, time-off management, and training.
- Research, identify, and recommend candidate sourcing tools and talent pipeline development strategies through job boards, career sites, and social media.
- Assist with the development, implementation and maintenance of position descriptions.
- Generate ideas, then create and design plans for various onboarding, recruitment, and retention initiatives.
- Manages the onboarding process for new hires to ensure successful integration. Ensures compliance with the comprehensive background investigation process for all new hires.
- Ensure new faculty are supported in relocation locally and from abroad. Liaison with the French Embassy (WDC) on the expat process.
- Primary contact for ADP-related inquiries, including system setup and password resets.
- Participate in the evaluation, development, and utilization of HRIS system.
- Develop and analyze HRIS tracking/metrics to evaluate success and make recommendations related to recruitment, retention, and engagement activities.
- Review, process, and audit HR and benefits enrollment requests/changes in ADP. Helps maintain data integrity in systems through audits, queries, and analysis, and assist with regulatory reporting.
- Completes payroll related tasks and duties, pay procedures, and assistance with unemployment claims.
- Maintain and update cloud personnel files.
- Timely process workers’ compensation claims; work with insurance carrier on return-to-work strategies.
- Respond to routine inquiries regarding human resources policies, procedures, and programs. Ensure confidentiality of information, as required.
- Complete employment verifications of current and former employees after securing authorization.
- Exhibit integrity, ethics, and fiscal responsibility.
- Perform related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Additional related experience may be substituted for required education.
- 8-10 years of prior HRBP hands-on experience; SHRM or HRCI Certification, preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office and Google.
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and passionate about our people and organization; ability to remain objective.
- Operationally strong, detail obsessed. Sees the big picture and understands how things connect; solid analytical and problem-solving skills in a complex work environment.
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence and confidently interface with employees at all levels.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems and capabilities including reporting, data management, and processing. Prior experience with ADP WFN, preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge and understanding of compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Strong time management skills with an ability to prioritize work, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to routinely travel between the two campus locations (3–5-mile radius).
