Business Process Consultant 16517385

Job Summary:

The Business Process Consultant will be responsible for preparing deliverables as directed by the Manager, and communicating relevant information to project teams and stakeholders in a timely manner. The candidate will facilitate meetings, address project team conflict and communication problems proactively, and review required documentation for completeness and correctness before submitting to the Project Team and Stakeholders. The Business Process Consultant will have excellent communication skills, be able to work with staff at various levels, and have a minimum of ten (10) years of IT business/industry work experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare deliverables as assigned by the Manager within the specified timeframe • Communicate relevant information to project teams and stakeholders in a timely manner • Facilitate meetings throughout the term of the contract • Address project team conflict and communication problems proactively • Review required documentation for completeness and correctness before submitting to the Project Team and Stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with Department staff at various levels • A minimum of ten (10) years of IT business/industry work experience • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in performing business analyses on IT projects • A minimum of three (3) years of experience managing large, software development programs/projects • Experience creating process model diagrams • Experience translating business requirements into use cases/user stories and acceptance criteria

Preferred Experience:

• Skills and experience in conducting meetings with individuals and groups of people to discuss business processes • Good verbal/communication skills • Good writing skills • Good technical writing skills • Good problem solving and critical thinking skills • Skills and experience in business process re-engineering • Skills and experience in deriving business process and data requirements from analyzing process and system documentation • Writing skills and experience to create a data dictionary • Experience in the use of Microsoft Word

Educational Qualifications:

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or another related field • Equivalent work experience.
