Cordia Resources is currently seeking a dedicated Benefits Accountant.

  • Support pension and benefits general ledger accounting activities.
  • Actively participate in the monthly and annual closing processes.
  • Assist in the quarterly reporting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Play a key role in the SOX Program compliance efforts.
  • Analyze financial transactions related to pension and benefits, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring accuracy.
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
  • Reconcile accounts related to pension and benefits, addressing any variances promptly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and support financial reporting requirements.
  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Benefits Accountant or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of pension and benefits accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting software.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
