Senior Accountant

Cordia Resources is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant.  If you are an experienced professional with expertise in ERP systems and a strong background in financial accounting, we would love to hear from you. 

As a Senior Accountant you will play a vital role in the financial operations of the company. Your primary responsibilities will include actively participating in the monthly and annual closing process, supporting the quarterly reporting process, and ensuring compliance with the SOX Program. You will be responsible for analyzing transactions, preparing journal entries, and reconciling accounts. Additionally, you may be assigned other accounting responsibilities as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Actively participate in the monthly and annual closing process.
  • Support the quarterly reporting process by preparing accurate and timely financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with the SOX Program through rigorous internal controls and documentation.
  • Analyze financial transactions and prepare detailed journal entries.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial information.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Stay updated with accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Handle ad-hoc accounting tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting and ERP system management.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with actively participating in the monthly and annual closing processes.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems and accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements is a plus.
