Job Title: Interim Accounting Manager
Location: 1 day a month in office meeting - Herndon, VA
Hourly Rate: $40.00 -$45.00/hour
Job Type: Contract
The successful candidate will possess expertise in private grants, revenue recognition, and month-end close processes.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee Accounts Receivable, Revenue, and Accounts Payable functions
• Lead a team of six professionals, ensuring efficient operations and fostering a collaborative work environment
• Hands-on management approach, actively involved in day-to-day accounting activities
• Private grants experience is essential
• Proficiency with Intacct, Concur, and Salesforce is preferred but not required
• Conduct month-end close processes with precision and accuracy
• Navigate and manage client background checks, including criminal and education verification
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in private grants management
• Strong background in revenue recognition and month-end close procedures
• Effective leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
• Hands-on managerial approach with a focus on detail and accuracy
• Remote work experience and willingness to attend monthly in-office meetings in Herndon
• Familiarity with Intacct, Concur, and Salesforce is a plus
• Successful completion of client background checks, including criminal and education verification
