Title: Senior Accountant Compensation: 90K – 105K Environment: Hybrid 2 days per week in office DC Industry: Software Development/ SaaS
Our client, a national software development organization, is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their dynamic Accounting and Finance team. As a part of this team, you will be responsible for month end close procedures, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable & accounts receivable, general ledger reconciliations, cash management and ensuring compliance with GAAP and Cost Accounting Standards. Job Responsibilities:
Operational Areas of focus include cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and intercompany loans.
Support general accounting functions including the preparation of journal entries and account analyses.
Assist in the preparation of monthly & quarterly financial reports and supporting schedules.
Assist with SOX compliance.
Support projects and contracts entr
Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Manage multiple priorities/projects effectively.
Identify and support implementation of process improvements.
Coordinate with multiple departments and levels of management including offsite locations.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
CPA or active candidate
Combination of corporate and/or public accounting experience
Experience with Accounting Systems
2+ years of experience in general accounting functions
Knowledge SOX and/or internal controls testing and documentation.
Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Ability to meet strict closing and reporting deadlines consistent with a publicly traded company
