The client is an independent SEC registered investment advisor managing a diverse group of alternative investment strategy entities across approximately 25 hedge and private equity funds and managed accounts totaling approximately $5.4 billion of assets under management and serves as a collateral manager for approximately $2.9 billion in securitized products. They act as both a direct manager of assets as well as providing servicing and support as a third-party asset manager. They operate management offices in the U.S. and U.K.
We are seeking an experienced accounting consultant to fill a gap during their busy season.
This role requires 2-3 days a week in office in Arlington and is expected to last up to 4 months.
The company uses Arcesium software, knowledge would be helpful but not required.
RESPONSIBILITIES: This individual will be responsible for handling the following tasks for multiple funds and affiliated entities:
Monitoring of cash reconciliations prepared by the Operations Team; reviewing the portfolio activity and resolving fund capital and expense activity for designated funds.
Analyzing and reconciling accounting data produced by third party administrator (i.e. monthly/quarterly/yearly deliverables such as investor statements, performance reports, financial statements, risk reporting, notices of capital activities, etc.)
Responsible for the review of monthly/quarterly internal fund financial reporting packages
Lead or actively contribute to yearly audit review for designated funds and liaise between third party administrator and auditors.
Review and approve ad-hoc investor requests including but not limited to investor performance summaries, capital activity summaries, and audit confirmations.
Potentially required to assist in the review and approval of accounting data for regulatory compliance filings to fund reporting records for designated funds (for example, Form PF, Form PQR, AIFMD – Annex 4, etc.)
