Position Overview:The company is seeking an experienced and driven fractional CFO to join their team and play a critical role in shaping their financial strategy and operations as they prepare for completing Seed-Stage venture financing, followed by a Series A round. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the digital health landscape, experience in financial modeling and analysis, fundraising, and a proven track record of success in leading financial operations for high-growth companies.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Planning:
Develop a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with the company’s long-term goals and objectives.
Develop and refine fundraising strategies, including assistance in identifying potential investors, managing relationships, and leading the due diligence process.
Advise on current industry and financial trends, including market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and regulatory changes.
Develop and maintain a robust financial model to forecast revenue, expenses, and cash flow, enabling informed decision-making.
Develop value-creation inflection points that justify the Company’s valuation to facilitate negotiations with venture capital firms
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial performance and progress towards strategic goals.
Provide financial leadership and guidance to the executive team, ensuring alignment between financial strategy and business goals.
Fundraising & Investor Relations:
Along with the CEO, lead the development and execution of fundraising strategies, including identifying and targeting potential investors.
Manage investor relationships, providing timely and accurate financial information and updates.
Along with the CEO, oversee the development of investor materials, including pitch decks, financial models, and due diligence data rooms.
Financial Operations & Reporting:
Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and reporting requirements.
Implement and maintain sound financial controls and processes to safeguard company assets.
Provide timely and accurate financial reports and analysis to management and the board of directors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in financial leadership roles, with at least 5 years in the digital health or other life sciences company industries.
Proven track record of success in developing and executing financial strategies, raising capital, and managing financial operations.
Strong understanding of the digital health landscape, including market trends, regulatory environment, and reimbursement models.
Expertise in financial modeling, analysis, and forecasting.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
