Cordia Resources is seeking an experienced Controller / Financial Reporting Manager on a contract basis to cover an employee leave. The ideal candidate will have higher education experience and a strong background in Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of three finance professionals.
Oversee financial reporting, accounting, and compliance in accordance with GASB.
Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to institutional policies.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support decision-making.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory agencies.
Ensure compliance with higher education financial reporting standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or advanced degree preferred).
Extensive experience in financial reporting and accounting within the higher education sector.
Strong knowledge of GASB standards and governmental accounting practices.
Prior experience leading or managing a finance team.
Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
