Miami, FLCordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a Miami-based boat builder/seller/dealer who is seeking a seasoned Controller to join their dynamic team. This role is on a consulting to hire basis, and offers the opportunity to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate. As the Controller, you will oversee a team of 3 and ensure the seamless financial operations of our client’s organization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor a team of 3 (Sr. Acct, Staff Acct, and Accounts Payable Clerk).
- Oversee full-cycle accounting and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Heavy inventory focus and percentage of completion for revenue recognition and cost accounting.
- Financial reporting and analysis
- Cash flow management and forecasting
- Manage procurement and relationships with vendors
- Proven experience as a Controller role.
- Solid accounting expertise and able to handle day to day accounting functions
- Strong systems proficiency and ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Strong Excel expertise is required.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills including strategic consideration and thinking about the future.
- Ability to work onsite 3-4 days a week in North Miami, FL.
- Demonstrated success in managing and developing finance teams.
- Strong communication skills, capable of working with a team-minded approach and with senior leadership.
