Salary: $85,000 - $90,000 + potential small bonus

Position Overview: The Senior Accountant will manage all financial transactions, oversee financial processes, and ensure compliance with GAAP. This role offers the potential for growth, including supervising staff involved in handling grants. Key responsibilities include maintaining subsidiary ledgers, generating financial statements, preparing for audits, and using QuickBooks and Mineral Tree software.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform daily accounting functions, including reconciliations, journal entries, payroll, and invoices.
• Manage accounts receivable, cash receipts, accounts payable, and grant activities.
• Generate and analyze financial statements and reports.
• Maintain and reconcile subsidiary ledgers, handle investment transactions, and manage fixed assets.
• Process payroll and maintain accurate records for tax and audit purposes.
• Develop financial forecasts and prepare management reports.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA preferred.
• 2-5 years of operational accounting experience, ideally in a nonprofit environment.
• Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work independently and manage stress effectively.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
