Cordia Resources is seeking a Payroll Accountant. This role will be responsible for payroll processing, related journal entries, and payroll accruals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both payroll and general ledger accounting, with experience supporting accurate and timely reporting.
Responsibilities:
• Process payroll accurately and on schedule
• Prepare and post payroll-related journal entries
• Maintain and reconcile payroll accruals and related accounts
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulations
• Support month-end and year-end close processes related to payroll
• Collaborate with HR and Finance to resolve payroll and accounting issues
Qualifications:
• Payroll and general ledger accounting experience required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Experience with UKG and Microsoft Great Plains a plus
• Strong knowledge of payroll practices and accounting principles
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills
