Interim Controller/Director of Finance with Intacct 16437510

Cordia Resources is currently seeking a talented and experienced Controller/Director for Finance  and play a vital role in managing our financial operations and ensuring the effective use of resources.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all financial activities of the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support the organization's strategic goals.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and present regular financial statements, reports, and analysis to the management team and board of directors.
  • Collaborate with program managers to provide financial insights for decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Manage the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely and successful completion.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor finance and accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to financial systems, processes, and tools.
  • Assist in grant and proposal budgeting, tracking, and reporting as needed.
  • Support the executive team in strategic financial planning and risk management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA preferred).
  • Proven experience 7+ years in financial management, accounting, or related roles, with a track record of success.
  • Strong understanding of non-profit accounting principles and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software, with a strong preference for candidates experienced in Sage Intacct.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and lead a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience in managing audits and working with external auditors.
  • Dedication to the organization's mission and values.
