Growing, profitable, PE-backed e-commerce client is seeking a Vice President (“VP”) of Financial Planning & Analysis.
The VP of FP&A will run with and own the company’s FP&A engine and serve as the right-hand to the CFO. Highly competitive base salary, annual bonus target and equity is available.
This role also owns the company’s financial narrative, treasury, and capital markets activities, and transaction readiness. This client is operating a “flywheel” business model in which value is created through online demand generation and digital conversion, complemented by sales-assisted channels.
This is a hands-on, high-ownership leadership role requiring deep operating finance experience in e-commerce or similar digital businesses, strong executive presence, and prior experience operating in PE-backed environments.
Role Overview:
Own and operate the enterprise FP&A function, including: Annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, long-range and scenario planning
Act as the financial owner of online demand and digital conversion economics within Custom Ink’s acquire → convert flywheel
Partner with Marketing and Technology routinely as a trusted Business Partner
Lead preparation of Board and investor financial materials, including performance narratives, KPIs, outlooks, and sensitivities
Own enterprise performance cadence and rigor across: WBRs, MBRs, and QBRs, executive decision forums
Own Finance partnership for the power buyer business, including: Top-to-bottom P&L ownership of financial planning, Investment vs. profitability tradeoffs, Growth optionality assessment
Translate online growth strategies into near- and long-term P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow impacts
Own treasury and capital markets, including: cash and liquidity forecasting & management, banking relationships, debt structure and covenant management, capital structure analysis
Lead FP&A support for transaction readiness and diligence, including: Management presentation support, banker- and acquirer-facing financial models, financial data room, diligence Q&A coordination
Continuously improve FP&A processes, tools, and models to support scale with operating leverage
Experience Desired:
10+ years of progressive FP&A leadership required
Experience in e-commerce required
Prior experience in a PE-backed operating environment, ideally including support of a liquidity event (sale, recap, IPO readiness, or major diligence)
M&A experience is required
Direct experience operating within an acquire–convert–retain flywheel business model preferred
Experience partnering with technology and product teams, including website conversion and funnel metrics, platform and infrastructure investments, ROI-based roadmap prioritization
Proven ability to own FP&A end-to-end — process, narrative, execution, and influence
Ability to perform on and help drive a lean FP&A team
BS/BA Degree
MBA is preferred
Exceptional financial modeling and executive communication skills
