Senior Finance Manager – Nonprofit

Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid near Peachtree area)
Reports to: Executive Director

As Senior Finance Manager, you’ll oversee core financial operations and provide guidance to ensure fiscal responsibility, transparency, and operational excellence. What You’ll Do

  • Manage day-to-day accounting and finance activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
  • Implement and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and nonprofit reporting standards
  • Coordinate annual audits and assist with implementing recommendations
  • Prepare cash flow projections and support financial forecasting
  • Supervise and develop accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and mission-driven culture
  • Maintain and optimize financial systems and technology (Sage Intacct experience preferred)
  • Present financial insights to leadership and support board reporting

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA strongly preferred)
  • 5–7+ years of progressive accounting or financial management experience, including supervisory responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, fund accounting, and nonprofit compliance
  • Proficiency with financial systems and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to convey financial information clearly
  • Prior experience in nonprofit or faith-based organizations a plus
