Cordia Resources is seeking a Project Accountant with experience in the government contracting industry. This role will manage project-level accounting functions, ensure compliance with federal regulations, and support financial operations across multiple contract types.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Manage billing for T&M, Cost Plus, and Fixed Price contracts.
- Oversee collections and revenue recognition processes.
- Ensure compliance with FAR and DFAR requirements.
- Provide audit support and assist with internal/external audits.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Collaborate with project managers and finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
- Minimum 4 years of accounting experience in government contracting (required).
- Proficiency in Unanet (required).
- Strong understanding of FAR and DFAR compliance.
- Experience with billing for multiple contract types (T&M, Cost Plus, Fixed Price).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
