Senior Property Accountant

Cordia Resources is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Property Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a focus on property management. The Property Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining financial records, and supporting overall financial operations.

Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties.
  • Analyze financial data and provide variance analysis to identify trends and potential issues.
General Ledger Management:
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts related to property transactions.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Assist in the preparation of annual property budgets.
  • Collaborate with property management teams to gather relevant information for budgeting and forecasting.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
  • Process property-related invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
Tenant and Lease Accounting:
  • Maintain tenant ledgers and ensure accurate billing.
  • Collaborate with property managers to address tenant financial inquiries.
Compliance:
  • Stay informed about accounting standards and regulations related to property management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Property Accountant in the real estate industry.
  • Strong knowledge of property accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
