Financial/Corporate Reporting Manager

One of our clients, a fast-growth, privately held international technology outfit, located in Faixfax County, is seeking a Financial/Corporate Reporting Manager. ​

This position will lead the corporate reporting function, responsible for the preparation and distribution of internal financial and related reports, maintaining the highest quality, reliability and accuracy.  Will partner with Corporate Accounting, Sales Operations, Engineering and HR.data packages for consumption by senior management as well as the parent company). He/she will partner with This position will report to the VP of Finance, and handle all contact for the parent company overseas.

Position Scope:
  • Reporting ranges from financial (income statement and balance sheet analysis for actual, forecast and budgeted numbers as well as calculation of key financial and performance metrics) to sales (pipeline and revenue projections) to workforce (headcount management, costs and projections). 
  • Be a "working manager"; take responsibility for reporting analysis and creation, and, management of a small team of resources both dedicated and matrixed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Compile and publish monthly/quarterly financial management reports for management, domestic team and parent co.
  • Oversee the loading of financial data in Hyperion and all supplemental schedules required 
  • Analyze results and provide insight into business drivers and variance analysis
  • Respond to management inquiries on a timely basis
  • Understand reporting requirements related to recent acquisitions and ensure future reporting incorporates specific guidance from management and parent company
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly forecasts
  • Assist with annual budget process
  • Provide content for executive level presentations
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BA/BS in Accounting/Finance
  • 5+ years of experience 
  • Experience working in a fast pace/high growth environment where they have shown an ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects in a given time.
  • Some analytical and financial planning skills
  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts
  • Experience with a large automated accounting system (ERP) - Oracle and/or SAP and/or Hyperion are helpful
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (be able to meet standardized deadlines and provide timely content).
  • Should be able to self-manage, juggle a broad range of activities and prioritize
  • Establish and maintain strong and effective working relationships with peers in our parent company
