Business Development Manager

The ideal candidate is a dynamic, high-performing and energetic person. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of exceeding sales quota, loves the thrill of the hunt, and is capable of building and growing the pipeline of the business. They also have experience navigating through organizations, doing deep discovery and speaking to multiple decision makers.
 
What Your Day Looks Like
  • Identify, research and tenaciously generate weekly new opportunities in the mid-sized employer market (100-5,000 employees)
  • Methodically qualify, build and manage an accurate sales pipeline; maintain a high volume of activity including social selling, networking, channel partner development, and outbound calls/emails
  • Conduct discovery and follow up conversations with senior executives and decision makers in prospect accounts to gain client commitment/new business
  • Consistently exceed monthly and annual sales targets and be well-compensated for doing so
  • Responsible for accurately tracking customer interactions and information in Salesforce CRM
  • Thrive on change while remaining highly organized, positive and coachable
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3-7 years of full-time corporate sales experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven track record of success prospecting for new business
  • Ability to understand customer needs and manage an end-to-end consultative sales process
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • A motivated, ambitious and self-starter attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Ability to multi-task, take initiative, prioritize and manage time effectively
Preferred Qualifications
  • Employee Benefits and/or HR Technology experience
  • Life & Health licensed
  • Enterprise sales process training
