Corporate Human Resources Manager

Cordia Resources is working with a high-growth homebuilding conglomerate organization with headquarters in the DC Metro area is seeking a Human Resources (HR) Manager to join their corporate team in Reston, VA. This role is open due to continued growth and success of the organization and will report to EVP of Finance.

HR Manager Responsibilities
  • Lead growing and geographically dispersed HR field team
  • Be a champion and communicator of the company culture, mission and vision
  • Maintain company policies and practices with an understanding of multi-state compliance and labor laws
  • Establish and maintain employee records and reports, attendance, job descriptions, organization charts and compensation framework
  • Maintain HRIS (Paylocity) and provide data, reporting and analysis to organization
  • Manage/supervise field HR staff, including work performance, time off, schedules, and attendance
  • Full-cycle sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and on-boarding
  • Research and recommend pay, benefits, and leave
  • Along with field HR staff, assist managers with performance management, employee relations and performance reviews
  • Recommend and facilitate learning, development and training for employees
HR Manager Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in a human resources or related role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Familiarity with ATS/HRIS systems (preferably Paylocity)
  • Experience with multi-unit or multi-site HR management
  • Experience with managing and leading a small team
  • Experience with mergers & acquisitions from an HR standpoint
  • Experience handling employee complaints (i.e. sexual harassment)
  • Growth mindset with the ability to think strategically, but be hands-on
  • Some travel required
