Our client is a $20million a year real estate company HQ'd in New York, is looking to add an up and coming AP Accountant. This position is 100% remote and will pay up to $60k.

Roles & Responsibilities
•    Maintain precise records of all vendor payments
•    Review and verify invoices, expense reports and check requests
•    Flag and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items
•    Code and match invoices
•    Set invoices up for payment
•    Enter and upload invoices into system
•    Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
•    Prepare and perform check runs
•    Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records
•    Reconcile accounts payable transactions (currently bill.com, but system will change)
•    Keep track of all company credit card spending, ensure policies are being followed
•    Reconcile credit card transactions (BREX, SVB)
•    Prepare analysis of accounts
•    Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
•    Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
•    Maintain vendor files in NetSuite and AP system, including performing complete vendor onboarding
•    Collect and organize/store all necessary vendor tax records
•    Assist with 1099 process
•    Correspond with vendors, and respond to inquiries
•    Produce monthly reports
•    Assist with month end closing
•    Provide supporting documentation for audits
•    Maintain accurate historical records
•    Work collaboratively with department to perform audits
•    Research and clear for approval new vendors according to policies and create new vendor accounts, ensuring all required documentation has been provided
•    Establish and maintain working relationship with vendors

•    Knowledge of accounts payable
•    Knowledge of general accounting procedures
•    Knowledge of relevant accounting and Accounts Payable software (such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Bill.com, Tipalti) a plus; experience with a prior similar system
•    Proficient in data entry and management
•    4+ years accounts payable or general accounting experience
