The Senior Accountant will focus on the ownership of the monthly close, billing and reconciliations with an added emphasis helping to define and standardize business processes with their new EPR system. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sr. Accountant will work closely with Accounting Manager and Assistant Controller to understand and support departmental goals of a faster month-end close, while maintaining high quality and transparency of records.
Calculate the monthly WIP on T&M and Fixed projects.
Financial reporting packages.
Process Monthly JE’s.
Process and help manage weekly and monthly billings to clients.
Posting of vendor bills that relate to billable expenses.
Ensure daily cash posting of accounts receivable.
Ability to handle and post in multi-currency and multi-entity companies.
Month-end account reconciliation and reviews.
Job will require initial 2 weeks travel to main office in Northern Virginia and and 1 week quarterly.
Refine and own the process of regular intercompany postings and reconciliations in Intacct to minimize month-end bottlenecks.
Assist with annual audits with external auditors.
Bachelors degree in Accounting
5+ yrs hands on general ledger experience
Excellent technical and computer skills (advanced Excel)
Strong accounting systems and month-end close knowledge
ERP experience (MS Dynamics, Intacct, Netsuite)
Experience with 3rd party platforms (i.e., Expensify, Bill.com, Nexonia)
Must have intercompany and consolidated reporting experience
