Principal Technical Recruiter

Northern Virginia based technical consulting firm seeking an energetic, innovative, high-volume Technical Recruiter to join our fast-growing team.


What are we looking for?

We are seeking a self-starter that can develop and nurture relationships with several recruiting channels, including colleges and professional organizations, and build a strong candidate pipeline. We are looking for someone that thrives in a small company environment where they can function in various roles and has an entrepreneurial mindset.



  • Provide full-life cycle recruiting, to include: screening, qualifying, interviewing and managing candidate relationships while advising hiring managers through the assessment and selection process
  • Leverage latest recruiting trends, tools, and best practices to engage and attract top talent.
  • Drive and manage a healthy pipeline of top-tier candidates.
  • Manage relationships with colleges, professional organizations, and other recruiting channels.
  • Partner with senior leadership and align recruiting strategies and activities with company-wide goals.
  • Manage ATS and other recruiting tools and processes.
  • Accurately assess candidates for cultural, competency and skill fit.
  • Possess the business acumen to influence key stakeholders, develop trusting relationships and effects business outcomes
  • Effectively leverage other functional areas as well as utilize data and market intelligence when advising the business and executing staffing strategies
  • Other duties as assigned.



Requirements Qualifications and Experience:

  • 4+ years experience as a senior/principal technical in-house recruiter at a start-up or small technology or software consulting company.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities effectively and adapt to change.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong relationship management skills with a proven track record of building new relationships and growing existing ones.
  • Experience in designing and conducting in-depth competency and behavioral-based interviews and evaluating candidate profiles.
