Summary:

The purpose of the Sr Mgr. HRMS & Payroll Projects is to assist in creating performance metrics, goals, and tracking systems to measure efficiency and effectiveness in PeopleSoft HRMS environment. This position will also oversee the day-to-day workflow of HRMS and support team staff.

This role will be Hybrid with 2-3 days a week in office in Bethesda, MD 
Salary Range: $70-80k, based on experience 

Essential Functions:

  • Manages job record update process through various system tools including Bot creation and maintenance
  • Strives for continuous process improvement in systems, processes, and procedures
  • Acts as key subject matter expert as it pertains to downstream users of job record data such as business reporting, POS updates
  • Manages ongoing projects as requested related to both HRMS to include testing, designing, and developing modules
  • Advises Payroll and HRMS Managers on effective management of day-to-day workflow of staff and processes and that it is coordinated and completed within established timeline and standards
  • Assists with providing the appropriate HRMS reports to analyze the business
  • Plays an active role in upgrades of PeopleSoft HRMS and other special projects as assigned
  • Hires, develops, and coaches direct reports as well as other team members
 

Reporting relationship and other important information

  • The Sr Mgr. HRMS & Payroll Projects position as described falls under the Fair Labor Standards act as an Exempt position
  • The position reports to the Sr Director, HRMS & Payroll Services.
 

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:

  • Requires payroll skills and knowledge generally demonstrated through the successful completion ofa Bachelors’ degree in Business or related field
  • Requires 3+ years’ experience; 2 years payroll / accounting experience
  • Requires advanced computer knowledge in Excel, and Word, or other database programs; general knowledge of relational database design and processing; PeopleSoft HRMS experience preferred
  • Requires proven payroll skills in a high-volume transaction processing environment
  • Requires the ability to maintain information in confidence
  • Requires excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills
