Primary Purpose: Cordia Resources has partnered with a biotechnology industry leader in search of a detail-oriented AP Accountant. Reporting to the Director, Accounts Payable, this full-time AP Accountant will oversee the accounts payable (AP) and expense reporting process for a growing organization operating in 30+ countries around the world. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years prior experience in AP processing, and experience using Concur. Growth in this role includes the ability to learn accounts receivable via future cross-training opportunities.
Essential Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable (AP) processes and expense reporting workflows using Concur
Review accounts payable invoices and expense reports have necessary documentation and approvals; review coding for accuracy
Research and resolve invoice or expense report issues in a timely manner, following up with staff or vendors as required
Maintain all vendor files; assist with check printing, processing and distribution
Assist the Director, Accounts Payable with month-end closing
Support annual audit processes and provide supporting documentation as needed
Oversee preparation of the monthly sales & use tax returns
Reconcile employee receivables and travel advance accounts
Assist annual 1099s processing
Special projects as needed; other duties as assigned
Required Background, Education, and Skills:
2+ years accounts payable experience
Experience with Concur required, experience with Sage Intacct a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with all levels of the organization
Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage deadlines independently
Prior experience with Accounts Receivable may open the door for future cross training opportunities
