Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid)
Hourly Rate: $40/hour
Job Type: Contract

Our top non-profit client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team on a contract basis. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing financial analysis and reporting to senior management.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the organization
• Prepare financial statements and reports for senior management and the board of directors
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Oversee the annual audit process and work with auditors to ensure timely completion
• Provide financial analysis and forecasting to senior management
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
• Manage the organization's budget and cash flow

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• CPA designation preferred
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior level role
• Experience working in a non-profit organization
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
