Cordia Resources has partnered with a fast-growing commercial real estate team in search of a sharp and talented Senior Financial Analyst. Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Financial Analyst will support the financial planning, management, and analysis of a late-stage startup. The ideal candidate will have a background in the commercial real estate, RETI, or hospitality industry, with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel. They will support long and short-range planning, develop financial models and accurate forecasts, build and review large excel data spreadsheets. Responsibilities:
Conduct tactical, project-based financial analyses, and support the full lifecycle financial planning and analysis function including planning, budgeting, and forecasting
Meet with budget owners, as appropriate, to diagnose areas of variance to their budget and help assist with any needed corrections, and support all aspects of the budget cycle
Build scalable financial models and proactively identify avenues for growth or improvement
Develop financial models and "what if" scenarios to help business planning decisions and long range planning
Create, maintain and distribute robust excel spreadsheets and pivot table files used for data inputs and data delivery
Run monthly financial reports and other ad hoc report requests, verifying accuracy and consistency of reports before releasing
Special projects as assigned, serving as backup to other department functions as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a Business discipline (Finance, Economics, Accounting) or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience
5+ years well-rounded experience in corporate finance / FP&A, to include preparation of annual budgets, monthly forecasts, business cases, financial/data analyses and financial statements analysis
The ideal candidate will have a background in the commercial real estate or hospitality industry, with REIT experience preferred
Strong working knowledge with Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs; minimum proficiency with PowerPoint graphs and formatting
Ability to develop, evaluate and communicate reasonable explanations for budget vs. actual variances
Exceptional communication skills and ability to interact with wide range of people across multiple levels of our and our client’s organizations
Ability to multi-task to meet deadlines, with strong attention to detail and the ability to reprioritize as needed
