Job Title: Payroll/HR Supervisor

Location: Silver Spring, MD (ON-SITE)

Hourly Rate: $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
Job Type: 9-month contract 


Job Description:

Cordia is partnered with a prominent automotive company who is looking for a Payroll/HR Supervisor to join their team. This is the top payroll spot and will require 5 days in office work (M-F 9AM-6PM). The ideal candidate will need to be proficient in ADP Workforce now and have experience handling complex and manual payroll and commissions. The role will be 70% payroll and 30% HR duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly, and end of month commissions payroll for 145 employees
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
  • Implement ADP Timeclock in the future 
  • Manage 401k Management and audit
  • Handle Open Enrollment in October (work with vendors and input enrollments)
  • Full-cycle hiring, terminations, benefits management, child support/garnishments, drug tests internal, I-9 management, salesman license management
  • Collaborate with the HR team to ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Provide guidance and support to employees regarding payroll and HR matters
  • Work with ADP Workforce Now to troubleshoot any payroll issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in payroll processing and HR management
  • Proficient in ADP Workforce Now
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle complex and manual payroll and commissions
  • Self-starter, strong problem-solving skills, not easily offended
