Location: Hybrid - Manassas, VA
Hourly Rate: $40.00 - $50.00/hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full accounting cycle, including AP, AR, GL, and month-end/year-end close activities.
• Prepare and review complex financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for cost optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
• Manage and mentor a team of junior accountants, providing guidance and fostering their professional growth.
• Lead and coordinate external audits, acting as the main point of contact for auditors.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA designation preferred).
• Progressive accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on hands-on involvement in various accounting functions.
• Proficiency in accounting software [mention specific software names if applicable] and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Thorough understanding of GAAP/IFRS principles and regulatory guidelines.
